À l’instar de la communauté internationale, Le Gabon célèbre chaque 20 Novembre, la journée mondiale de l’industrialisation et l’année 2023 n’a pas dérogé à cette tradition.
Sur sa page Facebook, Carmen Ndaôt ancien Ministre Gabonais de l’Industrie et de l’Entrepreneuriat National (2019…) a, à sa manière immortalisé ces moments. Elle qui, lors de son passage au gouvernement a mené de multiples réformes dans ce secteur d’avenir. En souvenir, la réforme engagée en janvier 2019 avec l’appui de l’expertise Marocaine sur l’implantation des centres techniques de normalisation et d’accréditation des produits industrialisés « en gros créer le Made in Gabon »

« L’industrialisation est un véritable défi pour l’Afrique en général et le Gabon en particulier. Aujourd’hui, nous avons un tissu d’artisans qui s’est développé avec une production artisanale qui a augmenté ces dernières années suite à l’éclosion de l’entrepreneuriat. Cela a fait émerger de nombreux talents dans plusieurs secteurs : agroalimentaire, cosmétique, maroquinerie… Il est dès lors nécessaire de formuler une Nouvelle Politique Industrielle pour guider le redressement et la relance du développement industriel de notre pays.
Cette politique devrait favoriser l’émergence d’un secteur privé fort, inventif et compétitif dans un environnement mouvant. Elle devrait être basée sur le développement et la transformation de nos ressources locales.
Je me souviens avoir vu un artisan confectionner plusieurs lampes, c’était pourtant le même modèle, mais en regardant de près aucune d’entre elles n’étaient identiques ! La standardisation est certainement l’étape suivante que nous devons franchir. Ainsi, la mise à niveau pour la recherche de compétitivité des industries gabonaises et la formation de ressources humaines de haut niveau constituent d’ores et déjà la priorité des priorités à court terme pour devenir un pays atelier.
Ces dispositifs techniques permettront d’évaluer et mettre aux normes les produits « made in Gabon », appelés à être plus que jamais compétitif sur le marché international. » A-t-elle écrit.

Like the international community, Gabon celebrates World Industrialization Day every November 20th and the year 2023 is not excepted to this tradition.
On her Facebook page, Carmen Ndaôt, former Gabonese Minister of Industry and National Entrepreneurship (2019…) has, in her own way, immortalized these moments. She , who, during her time in government, carried out multiple reforms in this sector of the future. In memory, the reform initiated in January 2019 with the support of Moroccan expertise on the establishment of technical centers for standardization and accreditation of industrialized products “basically creating Made in Gabon”
Below is her full circumstantial contribution.
“Industrialization is a real challenge for Africa in general and Gabon in particular. Today, we have a network of artisans which has developed with artisanal production which has increased in recent years following the emergence of entrepreneurship. This has brought out many talents in several sectors: agri-food, cosmetics, leather goods, etc. It is therefore necessary to formulate a New Industrial Policy to guide the recovery and relaunch of the industrial development of our country.
This policy should encourage the emergence of a strong, inventive and competitive private sector in a changing environment. It should be based on the development and transformation of our local resources.
I remember seeing a craftsman making several lamps, although they were the same model, but looking closely none of them were identical! Standardization is definitely the next step we need to take. Thus, the upgrading of the search for competitiveness of Gabonese industries and the training of high-level human resources already constitute the priority of the short-term priorities to become a workshop country.
These technical devices will make it possible to evaluate and bring “made in Gabon” products up to standard, expected to be more competitive than ever on the international market. » She wrote.
